A team at Foxboro, Schneider, saw an opportunity to create a product based on growing customer interest in an aggregated dashboard for Plant Operations. But the challenge was clear: they needed to integrate diverse systems and harmonize their data into a single lake for easier access and analysis. On top of that, the dashboards had to be customizable for users to tailor the information to their needs—all within a tight one-year deadline.

The WonderBiz team came together, and tech evaluations began. As the global pandemic hit, the team adapted, working from home and collaborating closely with stakeholders. Over a year and a half, the team of 8 developers and 1 test engineer built the product, using No Code/Low Code frameworks and Workflow Engines for the first time.

After testing in customer environments and addressing security concerns, the product evolved into a more streamlined version with a simplified user experience. Its success also unlocked cross-sell opportunities, increasing the value delivered to the Offer Managers and the business as a whole.

WonderBiz created an Enterprise Social Web App to help users collaborate on data from Power Plant Equipment. Built in 12 months using Enterprise Java, BackboneJS, and NoSQL Riak, the project brought together a dedicated team of 15 onshore and offshore engineers to bridge gaps and drive real-time collaboration.

The solution impressed the customer with its intuitive UX, enabling users to view charts, comment, upvote, follow, and receive notifications and advisories to prevent costly failures. Pleased with the framework, the customer asked us to develop another application on the same platform.
